Remember

Remember that movie? I think it was Charleton Heston or somebody, The Last Temptation of Christ? Or maybe I have the titles mized up, or maybe it was a big holy book or something.

*Anyway*, in this movie, there’s a dude that literally thinks he’s the son of God. Like, the one and only all-powerful creator of everything, God with a big G, right? And he’s talking to people, and telling them what to do and how to live, and basically calls out anyone who acts harmfully, even (and sometimes especially when) unintentionally.

TL/DR; In the end he’s killed and takes on all the responsibility of humanity’s sin simply because the rest of the people just didn’t really understand what they were doing.

And today, I’d just like to point out that anyone with internet access really can’t make that claim. Because there’s currently an open question to the “American people” (whatever that means) about whether to be led by brutal personality, or by those who continue to ask brutality for some respect.

And we could be doing much, much better if the people shouting out of both sides of their face that climate change isn’t real but the government can direct the weather can’t both be true and in fact that yes, the government CAN affect some control over the weather but that would involve the public being astute enough to realize that takes electing people who understand that exercising that control would involve a lot of public buy-in, significant changes in many people’s leisure habits, regulatory and incentives encouraging responsible resource expenditure and, would likely involve implementing at least some of the suggestions that actual scientists who have been studying the topic as their life’s work have been recommending for decades. Where was I going with that again? Oh yeah, weather control.

Tyrannous sore ex POSPOTUS; big mouth, awkward gait, small appendages.

Have a great day, we the people.
