So even after all this, today, all the republicans in the House of Representatives (in case you’re not familiar with the place, it’s a group of officials elected to represent the public by crafting the laws that govern our soceity) got together and decided who their (latest) nominee would be to the Speaker of the House (this particular position is third in line to the Presidency and Commander In Chief of our military forces), and in less than a day, the (latest) nominee has withdrawn from consideration.

If they had any interest in effective governance, someone would probably be embarrassed.
