Who makes the better unit? Will I get a lemon? What’s anecdotal evidence actually worth? Will it fit? Is it guaranteed? What if it doesn’t work? Why isn’t this standardized? It will work with that but not this other? Why did they use a different size? Do you deliver? Do you deliver to the location you were contracted to deliver to? Will the gig-worker delivery driver set it gingerly behind the flower pot to avoid package thieves or will they drop-punt it somewhere in the general vicinity?

The EU mandated that Apple must stop re-inventing proprietary interfaces and has to allow consumers to replace their batteries. But we free dumb loving Americans are subject to the corporate freedom to gouge us because there’s always enough of us vapid enough such that it is unprofitable to cater to any audience who actually knows what they’re doing and aren’t willing to buy junk designed to fail.
