I like to support lifelong learning. I have a soft spot for computer games that let folk tinker with electronics concepts, code, etc. It’s become fascinating to see the various approaches taken at abstraction, and the gaps revealed in requests for this feature or that. Games that teach folk how they were written, inviting the inevitable struggle between folks who want another layer of abstraction taken care of for them, and those folks who’d prefer another step inwards, for more control over intricacies. Just another metaphor for life. If we listen, we learn and become more powerful. Of course it’d be easier if someone else did it for us. Why *did* the chicken cross the road, anyway? It’s not like he was guaranteed to make it.
